Adopt A Musky

Now you can adopt your own musky that’s released into the Chippewa Flowage in fall 2016 and follow it for its lifetime. The Dept. of Natural Resources (DNR) fish research teams regularly check the Chippewa Flowage fish populations. They’ll identify the fish by scanning for their PIT tags, then measure them to see how much they’ve grown. The results for 22017 are here:

If your fish is among those captured, you can view its progress by looking up its PIT tag when we post it online each year. Learn more about Chippewa Flowage muskies.

  • We only want your phone number so we can let you know if there's a problem with your order. Otherwise we'll leave you alone.
  • We don't share email addresses. Ever. We'll use it to send your Adoption Certificate and to notify you when the PIT tag information is posted.
  • How many muskies would you like to adopt? The system will multiply this number by your donation amount below. Example: If you want 4 muskies for a total of $20, enter a quantity of 4 and a fee of $5 below. If you want 4 muskies for a total of $80, enter 4 here and $20 below.
  • Please enter the name of the new parent. For multiple certificates, add each name to this form.

    F.I.S.H. Outing - Hatchery Cleanup

    10:00 amSpooner Hatchery

FISH members, their families and anybody interested in FISH are invited to hatchery grounds Saturday April 25.  Beginning at 10:00 am to noon we will do some light grounds keeping work like raking, mulching and litter pick up to spruce up the grounds for the 2015 season. Then we’ll have a little meet and greet session over coffee and donuts before taking a tour of the hatchery. Should be lots of eggs incubating by that time and maybe a chance to actually see some walleye hatch. Just depends how this spring develops.

Contact Larry Damman at larry@shearluckfarm.com for more information or let us know you’re coming.
